Strategy Description

The International Currency Growth strategy is designed to take advantage of the price variations in international currencies. The methodology uses a system of differential equations to determine which currencies have the strongest momentum at any given time. It is kind of like visiting an optometrist and the doctor checks vision by having you compare one lens against another.

Normally the strategy will allocate assets to one or two currency ETFs at any given time. During periods of weakness in the international currency markets, a portion or all of the assets can be moved to a money market fund to reduce risk.

This investment strategy is designed for aggressive capital growth. Because this strategy seeks maximum returns, diversification may be limited and there is substantial risk. Because of these factors, this strategy is suitable only for aggressive investors who are prepared to withstand draw-downs in an effort to earn larger profits. Funds selected may have volatility equal to or greater than that of the S&P 500 index.

Investment Objectives

The objective is to allocate client assets to the currency that is showing the strongest momentum at any given time. Accounts are set up at FolioFN and the investment vehicles are exchange traded funds (ETFs). This investment strategy is designed for capital growth. Individual funds selected may have volatility equal to or greater than that of the S&P 500 index. Assets may also be moved to a money market fund if it appears that is the best procedure for avoiding capital loss during periods of high market risk. Investors must understand that high volatility and risk are inherent in strategies that seek a high return.

• The results portrayed reflect the performance of an actual client account invested in SFG's International Currency Growth Strategy. For reasons including variances in account holdings, variances in the investment management fee incurred, market fluctuation, the date on which a client may have engaged SFG's investment management services, any account contributions or withdrawals, and the impact of taxes, the performance of a specific client's account may have varied substantially from the client's results presented herein.
